Rhine Lift was founded by Mr. Kurt Hermann in 1905 in Germany, which has several services and branches in Germany and even the whole of Europe.
In 1998, Rhine entered the Chinese market and installed elevators for the Great Hall of the People and other national projects. In order to localize its manufacturing and services, it further invested in China and brought in the core technology of the German company.
Established in 2005, Suzhou Rhine Lift Manufacture Co., Ltd. is its manufacturing base in China.
The business philosophy of Rhine Lift adheres to that of its Germany counterpart: to compete through its quality and to gain the market through its service. Thus, it has kept innovating and won several first prizes in the lift industry, which were all great achievements.
With an area of around one hundred thousand square meters, including several tens of thousands square meters of plant and laboratory space, the manufacturing base is capable of an annual output of 20 000 lifts. The testing tower is used for developing and testing super high-speed lifts, inclined lifts and other new lifts.
The product series covers passenger elevator, escalator and moving sidewalk, household elevator, cargo elevator, diagonal elevator, etc.

2022
The skiing large jump platform diagonal elevator project in the Zhangjiakou area of the Beijing Winter Olympics won the "2022 World Elevator First Class Gold Award". This project is the longest running variable angle diagonal elevator project in the world.
2019
Serve Xiangyang Dongjin station of Zhengwan railway with 68 public transport-type escalators. Serve Shougang Big Air which was built for 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games. The Badaling station of Jingzhang high-speed railway in Beijing adopts Rhine inclined lifts, which will be the first large-scale project to apply the inclined lift to high-speed railway station in China.
2018
The Macao Houses Museum Walking System inclined lift project was awarded by Elevator World as Project of the Year 2018.
2017
The new test tower was completed, covering the testing of vertical lifts, inclined lifts and three dimensional parking system.
2016
Acquired the first (set) major equipment and key component certification in Jiangsu Province, marking the pioneer position of Rheinland Elevator in the domestic oblique elevator field.
2015
The Hongkong Discovery Bay inclined lift project was awarded by Elevator World as Project of the Year 2015.
2012
Suzhou Rhine Lift Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was awarded the title of “High-tech Enterprise”.
2010
Patented techniques like new type high speed passenger lift and new type intelligent controller were applied to enhance the quality of Rhine’s elevator.The Famen Temple inclined lift project was awarded by Elevator World as Project of the Year 2010,which is one of the most recognized awards in the industry.
2008
The elevator drive and control system based on the dual 32-bit CPU was successfully developed and put into mass production in the following year, which made a qualitative leap to the Rhine lift control technology.
2006
The design of the inclined high-speed elevator was re-completed, and in 2008, it was installed and operated at the Famen Temple, and the tower was 145 meters high.
2005
Established a joint venture manufacturing base in China, introduced LP-VF elevators, equipped with a number of advanced technologies, and quickly became mainstream elevators.
2004
Established a sole proprietorship management company in China.
2003
Change the design of the ordinary machine-roomless elevator to be wall-mounted, so that the adaptability and reliability of the machine-roomless elevator are further improved.

Received the Green Energy-Saving Elevator Certification by ministry of Construction.

Entered the Chinese market. Later securing the winning bids for the Great Hall of the People and Chairman Mao Memorial Hall.

The Gleason milling technology was applied for the first time in the development of wave-shaped-gear elevator, which made elevator with small machine room possible.

The traditional turbine worm technology was replaced by the planetary gear technology for the first time, which was a great success.

The scan-round of information flow was realized. The closed loop operation ensured the elevator safety.

The CAN-BUS serial communication technique was introduced to keep pace with the latest technology.

The all-glass elevator passed the test and was certified by TüV, which symbolled a revolution of car wall material. In the same year, the Global panoramic elevator was designed and applied in Cologne.
1987
The installation of position encoder at over-speed governor enabled the precise positioning of cabin.
1981
The adoption of a new control technique enabled the development of 16 bit all computer modular control system on the basis of 8 bits single broad computer, which opened a new era of full collective selective control elevator.
1975
The company relocated to Korbach and entered a new era of company development.

The electric valve hydraulic lift was developed.
1965
The thyristor controlled two-speed elevator was developed and applied in hospitals.
1956
The cooperation with Siemens perfected the direct current speed control technique.

The development of progressive safety gear was finished.
